A Road Made of Small Moments
The Long Run Home is a 50-state journey through marathons, memory, and the mechanics of staying. It is a project rooted in the understanding that survival is not a destination, but a pace.
Marathoning, much like healing from PTSD or organizing a community, takes years of building. We work toward shifts that might take longer than we have left to live, building systems and stories that must outlast us.
KM (they/them) is a runner and a writer who views the marathon as a mirror for long-form survival. This project is about the endurance required to exist beyond harm and the discipline of showing up when the goal is miles or decades away.
This is a space for the long haul. It is for the creators and the survivors who know that clarity is found in the steady, rhythmic persistence of putting one foot in front of the other. We don't run to get it over with; we run to learn how to endure the distance.
And no matter what. We. Keep. Going.
